Philipp is a researcher at the School of Management of the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
He was an early employee at Groupon and served as Financial Director as well as Head of Controlling EMEA during Groupon’s hyper growth phase. Among many challenges he managed Groupon’s NASDAQ IPO for Europe from a financial perspective. Fascinated from the experience of what happens to a company during rapid growth, Philipp became a researcher at the University of St. Gallen. He investigates how young, fast growing companies need to be managed in order to scale and be sustainably successful.
Philipp started his career as a management consultant at Stern Stewart & Company and holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics.
